Viola Sallay

Viola Sallay, Ph.D. is a psychologist, clinical health psychologist, and licensed psychotherapist specializing in family and couple therapy. She holds a Ph.D. in Behavioral Psychology from Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest and completed her habilitation in psychology at the University of Pécs in 2024. Her academic focus lies in self-regulation, environmental-emotional processes, and systemic approaches to therapy. Dr. Sallay currently serves as Professor of Systemic Therapy and Psychotherapy Research and Academic Director at Sigmund Freud Private University in Paris. She has previously held teaching and research positions at the University of Szeged, Semmelweis University, and Károli Gáspár University in Budapest.

Sie promovierte in Verhaltenspsychologie an der Eötvös Loránd Universität in Budapest und habilitierte sich 2024 an der Universität Pécs im Fach Psychologie. Ihre Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen in den Bereichen Selbstregulation, umwelt-emotionale Prozesse und systemische Therapie. Derzeit ist sie Professorin für Systemische Therapie und Psychotherapieforschung sowie Akademische Direktorin an der Sigmund Freud PrivatUniversität Paris. Zuvor war sie an der Universität Szeged, der Semmelweis Universität und der Károli Gáspár Universität in Budapest tätig.
