Semyon Yesselson

About the person

Semyon Yesselson is a philosopher, conflictologist, and existential therapist with a leading role in shaping the field of existential psychotherapy in Russia and beyond. In 1999, he founded the International Institute of Existential Consultancy (MIEK), which he continues to direct. He is also the founder and editor-in-chief of the journal Existential Tradition: Philosophy, Psychology, Psychotherapy.

Yesselson serves as Vice-President of the All-Russian Professional Psychotherapeutic League (PPL) and as Honorary President of the Russian National Association of Existential Counsellors and Therapists (NOECT). He is a board member of the Federation for Existential Therapy in Europe (FETE) and an honorary member of the International Advisory Board of the World Existential Movement.

​Semyon Yesselson ist Philosoph, Konfliktforscher und Existenztherapeut und zählt zu den prägenden Persönlichkeiten der existenziellen Psychotherapie in Russland. Yesselson ist Vizepräsident der Allrussischen Professionellen Psychotherapeutischen Liga (PPL), Ehrenpräsident der Russischen Nationalen Vereinigung für Existenzielle Beratung und Therapie (NOECT), Vorstandsmitglied der Federation for Existential Therapy in Europe (FETE) sowie Ehrenmitglied im International Advisory Board der World Existential Movement.
