Sara Plimon-Rohm

About the person

Mag. iur. Sara Plimon-Rohm, LL.M completed her law degree at the University of Vienna and obtained a postgraduate Master of Laws (LL.M) in Medical Law and Ethics from the University of Edinburgh. Since 2020, she has been working as a legal expert at the Austrian Federal Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection in the department responsible for legal matters concerning medical doctors, psychologists, psychotherapists, and music therapists.

Her core responsibilities include the legal oversight of the Austrian Medical Act and the Psychotherapy Act, as well as handling complaints in the fields of health psychology, clinical psychology, music therapy, and psychotherapy. In addition to her work at the ministry, she regularly teaches in relevant academic and continuing education programs.

Mag. iur. Sara Plimon-Rohm, LL.M absolvierte das Diplomstudium der Rechtswissenschaften an der Universität Wien sowie ein postgraduales Masterstudium (LL.M) in Medical Law and Ethics an der Universität Edinburgh. Seit 2020 ist sie als Juristin im Bundesministerium für Soziales, Gesundheit, Pflege und Konsumentenschutz tätig, in der Abteilung für Rechtsangelegenheiten der Gesundheitsberufe – insbesondere für Ärzt:innen, Psycholog:innen, Psychotherapeut:innen und Musiktherapeut:innen.

Zu ihren zentralen Aufgabenbereichen zählen die rechtliche Betreuung des Ärztegesetzes und des Psychotherapiegesetzes sowie das Beschwerdemanagement in den Bereichen Gesundheitspsychologie, Klinische Psychologie, Musiktherapie und Psychotherapie. Darüber hinaus ist sie regelmäßig als Vortragende im Rahmen einschlägiger Lehr- und Fortbildungsveranstaltungen tätig.
