Matej Vajda

About the person

Matej Vajda is a certified systemic psychotherapist and has a master's degree in sociology of sexuality and gender. He works in private practice with individuals, couples and families.

Matej is also an assistant lecturer at Sigmund Freud University Vienna - Ljubljana branch (SFU Ljubljana). He teaches several courses, ranging from the History of psychotherapy theories and Introduction to the psychotherapy science and profession, to Sexuality in psychotherapy, Sexual disorders, Sociology of mental health, and Epistemology and Systemic psychotherapy research in the post-graduate Specialization in systemic psychotherapy.

At SFU Ljubljana, he collaborates on international research projects in the area of routine outcome measurement and real-time monitoring of psychotherapy processes.

Additionally, Matej is a counsellor for students and employees at the University of Ljubljana, where he is also a doctoral student, researching the use of client feedback in social work counselling.

Matej has been the president of the Association for Systemic Psychotherapy of Slovenia since 2021.

Über die Person

Matej Vajda ist zertifizierter systemischer Psychotherapeut und hat einen Masterabschluss in Soziologie der Sexualität und des Geschlechts. Er arbeitet in eigener Praxis mit Einzelpersonen, Paaren und Familien.

Darüber hinaus ist Matej Lehrbeauftragter an der Sigmund Freud PrivatUniversität Wien – Zweigstelle Ljubljana (SFU Ljubljana). Dort unterrichtet er mehrere Lehrveranstaltungen, darunter Geschichte psychotherapeutischer Theorien, Einführung in die Psychotherapiewissenschaft und das Berufsfeld, Sexualität in der Psychotherapie, Sexuelle Störungen, Soziologie der psychischen Gesundheit sowie Epistemologie und systemische Psychotherapieforschung im Rahmen der postgradualen Spezialisierung in systemischer Psychotherapie.

An der SFU Ljubljana ist er zudem an internationalen Forschungsprojekten beteiligt, insbesondere in den Bereichen Routine Outcome Measurement und Echtzeit-Monitoring von Psychotherapieprozessen.

Zusätzlich arbeitet Matej als Berater für Studierende und Mitarbeitende an der Universität Ljubljana, wo er auch als Doktorand zur Nutzung von Klient:innenfeedback in der sozialarbeiterischen Beratung forscht.

Seit 2021 ist Matej Präsident der Vereinigung für Systemische Psychotherapie Sloweniens.
