About the person

Design historian, curator, and keynote speaker. Born in Graz in 1965, she studied graphic design and cultural management in Vienna. After traveling across three continents, which led to a doctorate in Tokyo, she spent 15 years in New York as a professor of design theory and history at the renowned Pratt Institute. Since suffering a stroke in 2015, she now lives in Vienna, is regularly featured in the press and media, and gives lectures on resilience, design, and personal transformation.

Designhistorikerin, Kuratorin und Keynote-Speakerin. Geboren 1965 in Graz, studierte sie Grafikdesign und Kulturmanagement in Wien. Nach Wanderjahren über drei Kontinente, die ihr eine Promotion in Tokyo brachten, blieb sie 15 Jahre in New York als Professorin für Designtheorie und -geschichte am renommierten Pratt Institute. Seit einem Hirnstamminfarkt 2015 lebt sie heute in Wien, ist regelmäßig in Presse und Medien vertreten und hält Vorträge zu Resilienz, Design und persönlicher Transformation.
