Karolina Kósa

About the person

Karolina Kósa MD PhD received her medical degree from the Medical University of Debrecen, Hungary. She spent 5 years at the National Cancer Institute of the National Institutes of Health of the USA as a Fogarty Fellow. She specialized as an internist in 1998, and as a specialist in preventive medicine and public health in 2003. She has been Head of the Department of Behavioural Sciences of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Debrecen since 2013. She started her training in psychotherapy in the same year and completed her medical specialization in psychotherapy in 2023. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, she works in private practice.

Karolina Kósa, MD, PhD, erhielt ihr medizinisches Diplom an der Medizinischen Universität Debrecen in Ungarn. Fünf Jahre verbrachte sie als Fogarty Fellow am National Cancer Institute der National Institutes of Health (NIH) in den USA. 1998 spezialisierte sie sich zur Internistin, 2003 zur Fachärztin für Präventivmedizin und öffentliche Gesundheit. Seit 2013 leitet sie die Abteilung für Verhaltenswissenschaften an der Medizinischen Fakultät der Universität Debrecen. Im selben Jahr begann sie ihre Ausbildung in Psychotherapie, die sie 2023 mit der Facharztausbildung in Psychotherapie abschloss. Neben ihrer Lehrtätigkeit arbeitet sie auch in eigener Praxis.
