Ivana Slavkovic

About the person

Ivana Slavkovic is a psychodrama psychotherapist, trainer, and supervisor with the Institute for Psychodrama in Belgrade, Serbia. She has worked both nationally and internationally as a psychodrama therapist and trainer.

With 25 years of experience applying the psychodrama method in both clinical and non-clinical settings, Ivana's work focuses particularly on clients who have suffered emotional and psychological trauma due to extraordinary (social) conditions such as war, torture, refugee experiences, and gender-based/domestic violence.

She is an expert in gender-based and domestic violence and has developed training programs for professional development in this area.

Ivana has dedicated over 18 years to the European Association for Psychotherapy (EAP), with 14 of those years serving in the role of Registrar. In March 2025, she was honored with the title of Honorary President of EAP.

Through her work with the European Association for Psychotherapy and the Institute for Psychodrama, Ivana contributed to reconciliation efforts in the post-war Western Balkans, including co-authoring a program aimed at fostering healing and trust.

Additionally, Ivana served as a guest lecturer on Psychodrama psychotherapy at the Sigmund Freud University in Vienna, Austria, from 2007 to 2013.

Ivana Slavkovic ist Psychodrama-Psychotherapeutin, Lehrtherapeutin und Supervisorin am Institut für Psychodrama in Belgrad, Serbien. Sie arbeitet sowohl national als auch international als Psychodrama-Therapeutin und -Trainerin.

Mit 25 Jahren Erfahrung in der Anwendung der Psychodrama-Methode in klinischen und nicht-klinischen Kontexten liegt ihr Schwerpunkt insbesondere auf der Arbeit mit Klient*innen, die emotionales und psychisches Trauma durch außergewöhnliche (soziale) Umstände wie Krieg, Folter, Fluchterfahrungen sowie geschlechtsbasierte und häusliche Gewalt erlitten haben.

Sie gilt als Expertin für geschlechtsbasierte und häusliche Gewalt und hat in diesem Bereich Fortbildungsprogramme für Fachpersonen entwickelt.

Ivana Slavkovic engagiert sich seit über 18 Jahren in der European Association for Psychotherapy (EAP), davon 14 Jahre in der Funktion der Registrar. Im März 2025 wurde sie mit dem Titel der Ehrenpräsidentin der EAP ausgezeichnet.

Durch ihre Arbeit mit der EAP und dem Institut für Psychodrama leistete sie einen wesentlichen Beitrag zu Versöhnungsprozessen im postkriegsgeprägten Westbalkan, unter anderem als Mitautorin eines Programms zur Förderung von Heilung und Vertrauen.

Zudem war Ivana von 2007 bis 2013 Gastdozentin für Psychodrama-Psychotherapie an der Sigmund Freud PrivatUniversität in Wien.
