Andrea Jesser

About the person

Univ.-Prof. Priv.-Doz. Mag. Mag. Dr. Andrea Jesser is Vice Dean of Education and currently Acting Dean of the Faculty of Psychotherapy Science at Sigmund Freud University Vienna. She holds doctoral degrees in Sociology as well as in Cultural and Social Anthropology, and she heads the Institute for Training Research. In addition, she teaches as a lecturer and is a licensed psychotherapist specializing in Guided Affective Imagery (Katathym Imaginative Psychotherapy), with a private practice in Lower Austria.

Her academic focus lies in qualitative psychotherapy research, psychotherapy service research, and youth and health studies.

Univ.-Prof.in Priv.-Doz.in Mag.Mag. Dr. Andrea Jesser ist Vizedekanin für Lehre und derzeitige Interimsdekanin der Fakultät für Psychotherapiewissenschaft an der Sigmund Freud PrivatUniversität Wien. Sie ist promovierte Soziologin sowie Kultur- und Sozialanthropologin und leitet das Institut für Ausbildungsforschung. Zudem ist sie als Lektorin tätig und eingetragene Psychotherapeutin für Katathym Imaginative Psychotherapie mit eigener Praxis in Niederösterreich.

Ihre wissenschaftlichen Schwerpunkte liegen in der qualitativen Psychotherapieforschung, der Psychotherapie-Versorgungsforschung sowie der Jugend- und Gesundheitsforschung.
