Dr. med. Andrea Friedrichs-Dachale has specialized in neurology, psychiatry, and psychosomatic medicine throughout her medical career, practicing as a specialist in these disciplines. She holds the position of Senior Physician in the Psychotherapy department at the Asklepios Fachklinikum Göttingen and also heads the psychiatric-psychotherapeutic day clinic there.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Friedrichs-Dachale is deeply involved in the training and further education of therapists. She is a teaching therapist and lecturer for the Working Group on Guided Affective Imagery and Imaginative Processes in Psychotherapy (DGKIP/AGKB). Her expertise and commitment have also made her a lecturer and chairperson of the board at the Institute for the Promotion of Imagination in Counseling and Supervision e.V. (IFI-BS). Furthermore, she serves as a lecturer at the Göttingen Academy for Psychotherapy e.V. (GAP) and is a guest lecturer at the Psychological Institute of the University of Kassel.

Dr. med. Andrea Friedrichs-Dachale hat sich in ihrer medizinischen Karriere auf die Fachbereiche Neurologie, Psychiatrie und psychosomatische Medizin spezialisiert und ist als Fachärztin in diesen Disziplinen tätig. Sie bekleidet die Position der Oberärztin im Funktionsbereich Psychotherapie des Asklepios Fachklinikums Göttingen und leitet dort ebenfalls die Psychiatrisch-psychotherapeutische Tagesklinik.
Neben ihrer klinischen Tätigkeit engagiert sich Dr. Friedrichs-Dachale intensiv in der Ausbildung und Weiterbildung von Therapeuten. Sie ist Lehrtherapeutin und Dozentin der Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Katathymes Bilderleben und Imaginative Verfahren in der Psychotherapie (DGKIP/AGKB). Ihre Expertise und ihr Engagement haben sie auch zur Dozentin und Vorstandsvorsitzenden des Instituts zur Förderung der Imagination in Beratung und Supervision e.V. (IFI-BS) gemacht. Zudem ist sie Dozentin der Göttinger Akademie für Psychotherapie e.V. (GAP) und Gastdozentin am Psychologischen Institut der Universität Kassel.
Dr. Friedrichs-Dachale ist besonders in der tiefenpsychologisch fundierten Psychotherapie, der Katathym Imaginativen Psychotherapie und in Imaginativen Verfahren versiert. Ihr Lehrschwerpunkt liegt auf den Symbolisierungsprozessen, welche die Basis für die effektive Anwendung dieser therapeutischen Techniken bilden.
