About the person

Univ.-Prof. PD Dr. PhD MBA Alexandra Schosser is Professor of Psychiatry with a focus on Psychotherapeutic Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Faculty of Medicine, Sigmund Freud Private University (SFU) in Vienna, where she also serves as Head of the Center for Brain and Nerve Health. She is a board-certified psychiatrist and psychotherapeutic medicine specialist, a licensed cognitive-behavioral psychotherapist, and supervisor/trainer.

Dr. Schosser holds a PhD in Genetics and an MBA in Health Care Management. Her previous positions include medical director of psychiatric rehabilitation centers in Vienna and senior consultant at the Medical University of Vienna, where she also led a molecular genetics research lab. She has international clinical and research experience, including fellowships in the UK and at King’s College London. Her expertise spans psychiatry, psychotherapy, neuroscience, and health system leadership.

Univ.-Prof. PD Dr. PhD MBA Alexandra Schosser ist Professorin für Psychiatrie mit SchwerpunktPsychotherapeutische Medizin und Rehabilitation an der Fakultät für Medizin der Sigmund Freud PrivatUniversität (SFU) in Wien. Sie leitet dort das Kopf-Nerven-Zentrum und ist Fachärztin für Psychiatrie und Psychotherapeutische Medizin sowie Verhaltenstherapeutin, Lehrtherapeutin und Supervisorin.

Sie promovierte in Genetik und absolvierte ein MBA-Studium im Bereich Health Care Management. Zuvor war sie u. a. ärztliche Leiterin mehrerer ambulanter psychiatrischer Rehabilitationskliniken in Wien sowie Oberärztin und Leiterin eines molekulargenetischen Forschungslabors an der Medizinischen Universität Wien. Internationale Forschungserfahrung sammelte sie unter anderem am King’s College London und in Großbritannien im Rahmen renommierter Forschungsstipendien. Ihr fachlicher Fokus liegt an der Schnittstelle von Psychiatrie, Psychotherapie, Neurowissenschaft und Gesundheitsmanagement.
